One of the biggest changes that we have seen through the course of the past two decades is the development of more and more nursing programs, as well as allowing nurses to hone their skills through specific education and courses. Clinical skills comprise the bulk of the skills that are required through nursing. Whether something as simple as taking temperature or skills like measuring blood pressure or drawing blood for laboratory tests, these clinical skills are required in order for the nurse to perform the duties that are required in the profession.
Clinical skills are difficult to learn through textbook and labs, and therefore require the nurse to study on dummies, and then human patients while learning.
